I've been in business for 17 years. Before I retrained in feet, I worked at the hospital within medical records and then nursing. I then gained my Nvq 3 in beauty therapy and decided to train in foot health at the Smae Institute in Maidenhead. I wanted to combine my 20 years of experience within health and wellness, to deliver a treatment which is both medical and pampering. I'm excited to work within Reset and I can't wait to meet you all.

FAQ

What is the difference between a foot practitioner, chiropodist and podiatrist?

Also, what is foot health?

A Foot Health Practitioner keeps people’s feet healthy and can also give advice on foot care to ensure they are comfortable into old age.

Foot problems that start in the feet can impact on other aspects of health. This can lead to chronic pain in your knees, hips, neck and back. The importance of foot health significantly increases as we age. As well as working on foot complaints such as calluses, corns and hard skin, foot practitioners gain skills to reduce nails and learn scalpel technique.

They also gain competence to treat verrucae and warts using chemicals. They can maintain ingrown toenails but removal or partial removal has to be performed by a podiatrist.

Foot practitioners gain knowledge of foot disorders and treat diabetic patients. Understanding medications and medical history is also imperative. Podiatrist is the newer name for chiropodist. They can diagnose conditions, treat and prescribe medication. They can also train to perform podiatric surgery.
